These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") define the conditions for using the C to C experience matching service "ZeMott" (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided by the ZeMott operating team (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us").
Article 1 (Application of These Terms)
These Terms apply to all use of the Service and govern the relationship between members and us. By using the Service, the member agrees to all provisions, including individual policies and our Privacy Policy.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- Member: An individual or organization who registers for membership after agreeing to these Terms. Guests are temporarily granted membership status upon booking.
- Guest: A user who applies for an experience and makes a reservation via the Service.
- TOMODACHI Host: A registered user who offers personal or regional experiences and receives reservations.
- Experience: Activities offered by TOMODACHI Hosts that share local culture, nature, cuisine, events, etc., with Guests.
- Platform: The base system providing the Service, including the official ZeMott website.
Article 3 (Membership and Registration)
Only individuals aged 18 or older may register. Registrations must be completed by the person themselves. We reserve the right to refuse registration for reasons including, but not limited to, past violations, false information, or affiliations with antisocial forces.
Article 4 (Member Information Entry)
Members must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
Article 5 (Changes to Member Information)
If any registered information changes, the member must promptly update it. We are not liable for any damages caused by unreported changes.
Article 6 (Service Content)
Members may use the Service during their valid membership period, following these Terms and any instructions we provide.
Article 7 (Withdrawal)
Members may withdraw at any time by following the prescribed procedure. Membership ends upon completion of the process.
Article 8 (Disclaimers)
We only provide the platform for matching members and are not parties to any transactions. We are not responsible for transaction content, legal compliance, third-party links, technical issues, or losses resulting from Service use. Liability is limited to direct, ordinary damages due to our willful misconduct or gross negligence, up to the amount of the relevant transaction.
Article 9 (Prohibited Conduct)
Members must not:
- Violate laws, these Terms, or third-party rights.
- Impersonate others, spread false information, or engage in fraud.
- Send harmful programs or disrupt the Service.
- Solicit unrelated services or use the platform for off-site transactions.
- Damage ZeMott’s brand image.
Article 10 (Termination of Membership)
We may revoke membership without notice if a member violates these Terms or engages in improper conduct. Members cannot dispute or claim damages regarding such decisions.
Article 11 (Service Suspension or Termination)
We may suspend or terminate the Service for reasons such as maintenance, disasters, unauthorized access, legal issues, or other unavoidable circumstances, with or without prior notice.
Article 12 (Dispute Resolution)
Disputes between Guests and Hosts must be resolved between them. Members must notify us of any disputes and report outcomes upon request. If we receive claims from third parties due to a member's actions, the member must compensate us.
Article 13 (Information Storage)
We are not obligated to retain user communication data and may delete it at any time without liability.

Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via the designated payment service.
Article 15 (Intellectual Property Rights)
All intellectual property related to the Service belongs to us or our licensors. Use of the Service does not grant rights to any intellectual property.
Article 16 (Conducting Experiences)
Hosts must conduct experiences with care and sincerity. Guests must respect local culture and behave appropriately. Both parties must notify each other and us in case of cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances.
Article 17 (Personal Information)
Personal information is managed according to our Privacy Policy. We may use anonymized statistical data for analysis and improvement.
Article 18 (Advertisements)
We may display advertisements deemed appropriate. We are not responsible for any losses caused by such ads.
Article 19 (Amendment of Terms)
We may revise these Terms without prior consent. Revised Terms take effect upon publication. Continued use after revision constitutes agreement.
Article 20 (Non-Assignment)
Members may not transfer rights or obligations without our written consent. In case of business transfer, we may assign member information and contract status to the transferee, which members are deemed to consent to.
Article 21 (Severability)
If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective. We will endeavor to revise invalid parts to achieve similar legal and economic effects.
Article 22 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hiroshima District Court.
Supplementary Terms for Guests
- We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of services offered by Hosts. Payments are made at the time of booking through designated services (e.g., PayPal).
- Transactions are confirmed once the Host accepts a Guest's request.
- Cancellation fees apply based on the timing of cancellation. Refunds may take 5–10 business days. We do not intervene in individual disputes.
- Taxes related to the experience are the Guest’s responsibility.
- Transfers or resale of reservations are prohibited.
- Guests must warrant their conduct is lawful and will compensate for any damages caused to other users or third parties.
